” OSTEOGENESIS IMPERFECTA” is a medical condition where there is defect in the body’s ability to produce collagen. The condition also known as “Brittle bone disease” results in bones breaking easily on trivial or even no trauma. So the patient develops multiple fractures.

The Congress party today suffers from a similar condition where there is defect in the party’s ability to produce true leaders. The existing leaders like veteran Ghulam Nabi Azad are leaving the party, giving resemblance to Fractures in CONGRESS’ HAND. Thus the label ‘LEADEROGENESIS IMPERFECTA”

 There was action galore at the 94th Academy awards, when Will Smith smacks the presenter comedian Chris Rock, who tried to make some kind of a joke on Will Smith's wife who is suffering from a medical condition called Alopecia. The condition results in uncontrolled hair loss. Will Smith then goes on to win the best actor award for the movie "King Richards". The action was witnessed live across the globe. Cartoon Claustrophobia

 Claustrophobia or fear of small enclosed spaces is a common condition affecting a good number of people. This is very common in Radiology practice who are doing MRI (Magnetic resonance imaging). Patient has to stay in a tunnel shaped gantry for 15-30 minutes with funny sounds coming from the machine, which  becomes really agonising for people suffering from claustrophobia. It is not uncommon to see people even refusing to get the MRI done just because of this reason.

Cartoon Russian Aggression and Economy

Russian attack of Ukraine has not produced the swift result which Russian president Vladimir Putin had envisaged. The resistance put up by Ukrainian people has delayed the inevitable. This delay coupled with sanctions by the US and its European allies is having a damaging effect on Russian economy. The US and its allies have immobilised a large part of Bank of Russia's assets, the Russian ruble has collapsed and interest rates have risen. All this combined is going to have a crippling effect on Russian economy.

Cartoon NATO ditches Ukraine

 Russia has attacked Ukraine to prevent NATO from extending its sphere of influence and reaching its Russian borders. Russia considers former Soviet Union countries as his sphere of influence. Ukraine wanted to joint NATO and its president Volodymyr Zelenskyy went ahead for a face off with Russia on the belief that US and other NATO countries like UK would come to its rescue in case of Russian attack but all that he has got is only lip service.

Cartoon Russia Eyeing Ukraine

Ever since Ukraine elected a government that is not pro Russia, it is enamoured by the west. Its bid to join NATO and European Union has angered Russia which considers Ukraine as his area of influence and does not want the west to encroach upon it. Russia has already swallowed Crimean peninsula and has been building its forces along the Ukraine border. It has surrounded Ukraine from three sides with the tacit support of Belarus. US along with its allies is crying hoarse that Russian attack on Ukraine is imminent. As the stock market is super sensitive to such  developments, the bears in the market are waiting for such an event to enter in a big way. A take at the same.

Cartoon Lata Mangeshkar 1929-2022

 Today is 6th of February 2022 and the passing away of a legend in music has resulted in untold grief to all the music lovers across the globe. The adjectives fall short while describing her voice quality and range. She has enthralled the humanity across borders. Her repertoire is mind boggling. The quality of diction in her songs is of such high standard that each word seemed to fit in its appropriate place. We pray that her soul attains eternal salvation.

 Traffic in India is one of its kind. Although traffic rules are there in the rule book and officially no one can get a driving license without knowing about these rules, the plethora of touts mushrooming all over get you a driving license for a fee and that too without undergoing a driving test. Add to this the ubiquity of stray cattle on the roads who have a gala time often sitting in the middle of roads.

Cartoon Perfume Trader IT Raid

In a recent income tax raid on Kanpur perfume (Itra) trader's premises, the raiding party was surprised to find a huge amount of cash stashed at almost all the possible hiding places and cupboards. The amount of Rs 194 crore cash had the accompaniment of 23 Kg of gold, 600 Kg of sandalwood oil and documents of numerous properties. A take at the same.

This has sent shivers down the spine of crores of Indian investors who have been investing in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in order to become overnight millionaires. Cartoon Padma Shri Awards

 For the first time, one had the fortune of watching commoners, who had done extraordinary work, getting recognised and taking Padma awards. One of them was Tulsi Gowda, the environmentalist from Karnataka, also known as the "Encyclopaedia of forest". The graceful lady walked barefoot on the red carpet in Rashtrapati Bhawan to take her award. A take at the same.

 With official announcement of TATA group taking over beleaguered Air India, the overhaul of the cabin crew is on the cards. In an industry where slim fit and attractive girls are the norm in most of the airlines, the callous attitude of Air India air hostesses as far as their fitness and grooming is concerned, is going to be a thing of the past. Cartoon Navjot Singh Sidhu

 The Punjab congress has been in virtual turmoil with chief minister Capt. Amarinder Singh and PCC chief Navjot Singh Sidhu at loggerheads with each other. With Congress high command backing Navjot Singh Sidhu, the chief minister had no option but to resign. After resigning from the post, Captain has hit back at Sidhu,  reminding everyone of Sidhu's visit to Pakistan where he had embarrassed India by embracing Pakistani General Qamar Javed Bajwa. Captain says that Sidhu is too mixed up with Pakistan. A take at the same.

Cartoon Afghanistan & Pakistan economy

 With US getting out of Afghanistan and Taliban taking over and forming a government, one thing critical to running it will be financial support. With US freezing all its accounts and other countries just playing the wait and watch game, the economy is obviously in dire straits. Now the Taliban will look for legitimisation of its government and then ask for aid from international institutions like UN & IMF. Although Pakistan is happily supporting the Taliban, its own economy is in shambles and is perpetually in need of financial aid. A take at the same.

US has left Afghanistan after leaving behind a substantial number of aeroplanes apart from a cache of arms and military vehicles. As per the US authorities, they have rendered all the aeroplanes, which are left behind as being unfit for use and won't be able to fly again.
