Free sops are offered to general public by politicians, especially during the election season. Where does the money for all the freebies come from? It is the tax payer who has to bear the brunt. India is one such country where there is no incentive for the honest income tax payer. There is no social security and the health infrastructure is in a dilapidated condition with only 1.8% of GDP being spent on health. Talks of incentives for the honest tax payer remain in air only.

Remember the story of the hen laying golden eggs and what became of it. No taxpayer can swallow such never ending, unwarranted splurges, at the cost of ex-chequer. For ‘Milch cows’ Read ‘Dead cows’, someday. But who cares.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely true! 70 years and counting....taxes are increasing, and at the same time reservations are increasing making it ever more difficult for the people to get decent education in good institutions. But, don't ever forget to pay the taxes dear.
